If it sounds like I am defending them, it is only because your response sounded like a snap judgment quick dismissal, which is at odds with my experience with iMazing. But the disclaimer is intended to avoid over-promising. iMazing makes it easy for those known ones.

The spyware detection in iMazing is, at its root, a friendly GUI on top of what are normally complicated and (to beginners) intimidating instructions and steps for how to use programmer utilities and command line tools to locate signature files that spyware has buried deep in the system. If a new threat emerges that is not yet known or documented, it won’t pick that up, of course. When there is a known threat, security professionals note the telltale files they install.
”Known signatures” is the reason the disclaimer talks about those. "So iMazing is capable of checking known compromise indicators for Pegasus and Cytrox spywares. IMazing only checks for Pegasus from NSO and Cytrox. They currently don't check for QuaDream spyware.
